Property Comparison: Side-by-Side Analysis

The Comparison tool solves the problem of “information overload” by letting users line up multiple properties to see exactly how they differ.

  • Add to Compare: Users can click a “Compare” icon (usually a ⇆ symbol) on the property card or single page. This adds the property to a “Comparison Tray” or floating bar.

  • Side-by-Side Table: Once the user selects 2–4 properties, they can click “Compare Now” to generate a dynamic table. This table aligns all metadata, such as:

    • Price (highlighting the cheapest option).

    • Area ($sqft$ or $sqm$).

    • Amenities (showing which house has a pool vs. which has a garage).

    • Location (comparing city or neighborhood).

  • Decision Making: By seeing the data in a grid, users can quickly justify a higher price for better features, or choose the best value for their budget.

Favorites: Personal Property Shortlist

The Favorites (or Wishlist) feature is a retention tool that encourages users to create an account and return to your site.

  • The Heart Icon: A simple, intuitive “Heart” button on every listing allows users to “Save” a property they like.

  • Persistent Storage: * Logged-in Users: Saved properties are stored in their account permanently, accessible from any device.

    • Guest Users: Properties are typically saved via browser cookies or sessions, allowing them to see their list even if they haven’t registered yet (encouraging them to sign up later to save the list permanently).

  • Personal Dashboard: Users get a dedicated “My Favorites” section in their frontend dashboard where they can manage their shortlist, remove properties, or share the entire list with a partner.
