1. Country Level (Top Tier)

For international real estate portals, this is the starting point.

2. State/Province Level (Second Tier)

This narrows the search to regional segments.

• Use Case: “I am looking for homes specifically in California or Andalusia.”

• Function: Helps users who are moving to a specific region but haven’t picked a city yet.

3. City Level (Third Tier)

This is the most common search level for most users.

• Use Case: “Show me listings in Los Angeles or Madrid.”

• Integration: In Zozonest, cities are often linked to specific coordinates to trigger the map view automatically.

4. Area/Neighborhood Level (Granular Tier)

The most detailed level, focusing on specific districts or zones.

• Use Case: “Find me an apartment in Beverly Hills or Chueca.”

• Market Advantage: This is where you capture “High-Intent” buyers who know exactly where they want to live.

Backend Management

You can manage this hierarchy in the Property Directory > Locations menu. Zozonest uses a Parent/Child relationship:

• When adding “Los Angeles,” you select “California” as the Parent.

• When adding “Beverly Hills,” you select “Los Angeles” as the Parent.

Dynamic Filtering

The search widget is “Hierarchy Aware.” If a user selects a Country, the “State” dropdown will automatically update to show only states within that country. This prevents the “No Results Found” error and improves the user experience.

 Local SEO Landing Pages

Each location level automatically generates an archive page.

• Example URL: yoursite.com/location/usa/california/los-angeles/beverly-hills/

• These “nested” URLs tell Google exactly what the page is about, helping you rank for long-tail keywords like “Luxury homes for sale in Beverly Hills.”
