Property Action

In the Zozonest plugin, the Property Action widget is a taxonomy-based navigation tool, very similar to the “Property Category” widget, but specifically focused on the Status or Intent of the property listing (e.g., For Sale, For Rent, Sold, or Auction).

While “Category” tells a user what the building is (Villa vs. Apartment), “Action” tells them what they can do with it.

1. Content & Taxonomy Settings

  • Select Action Type: Choose the specific “Property Status” taxonomy to display. This usually pulls from the status labels you’ve created in the Zozonest backend.

  • Manual Selection: Instead of showing all statuses, you can choose to show only specific ones (e.g., create a section specifically for “Luxury Rentals”).

  • Hide Empty Action: A toggle to prevent statuses from showing if they currently have no active listings (e.g., if you have no properties “For Auction,” that button will disappear).

  • Show Listing Count: Displays a numerical value next to the action name (e.g., “For Rent (24)”) to give users an idea of the inventory size.

2. Visual Layout (Skins)

The widget offers various “Skins” to match your design:

  • Classic Grid: Simple boxes with text.

  • Iconic View: Uses specific icons (like a “Key” for rent or a “Sign” for sale) assigned to that status.

  • Featured Image: Uses a background image associated with that action (e.g., a “Sold” sticker image over a house).

  • Columns & Spacing: Adjust how many action buttons appear in a row (typically 2–4).

3. Query & Navigation

  • Order By: Sort the actions alphabetically or by the number of listings they contain.

  • Link Behavior: Clicking an action box takes the user directly to a pre-filtered search results page showing only properties with that specific status.

  • Limit: Restrict the number of actions shown if you only want to highlight your primary business types (e.g., Sale and Rent).

4. Style & Hover Effects (Elementor)

  • Typography: Customize the font size, weight, and color of the Action labels.

  • Badge Styling: If the count is enabled, you can style the circle/background color of the number.

  • Overlay & Hover: Add a color overlay that changes when the user hovers over the box, or add a slight “Grow” animation to make the buttons feel interactive.

  • Border Radius: Soften the look by adding rounded corners to the action boxes.
